Adam
Burkett graduated from Second City Detroit (before
HockeyTown); and Wayne State University (when they were Tartars).
He is a founding member of Motor City
Improv, performing in the first three revues: His and
Hurricane, The Bare Wit Project and Buffet for Vampire
Slayers. After time in New York, Adam's official return to
the line-up was with Naughty or Nice: Motor City Improv is
Naughty! In addition, he performed in the Second City
alternative productions, Darwin's Creek and The
McGlaughlin.
He also co-wrote and
performed in the original sketch comedy show, Sardines, at
the Planet Ant in Hamtramck and The Poor Alex Theatre in Toronto.
Adam's New York credits include writing and reporting for
RentWars.com; performing in the Nutshell Festival of one act plays
at Manhattan Theater Space; and regularly participating in Jeffrey
Sweet's Improv for Playwrights workshops.
Adam's dramatic start
was playing the role of Ronnie in John Patrick Shanley's Welcome
to the Moon, performed at the gloriously restored Trenton
Theatre.
